Bull Testing

Breeding soundness evaluations are available for bulls. We prefer to perform bull testing in our new haul-in facility for improved animal and operator safety. Larger groups of bulls can be scheduled on-farm. Testing and bull vaccinations, deworming, etc. can be performed at the same time.

Pregnancy Diagnosis

We utilize ultrasound pregnancy diagnosis for cattle, swine, and small ruminants. Ultrasound technology allows for accurate fetal aging, fetal sexing, detection of twins, and detection of fetal loss or other abnormalities. Dr. Neal Martin also utilizes an arm-free introducer wand for cattle to reduce animal stress. Typically, the best information for cattle ultrasound can be provided 90-100 days after the start of the breeding season in cattle, but feel free to contact us to discuss the best timing to pregnancy test your herd.

Artificial Insemination

We can schedule protocols for estrus synchronization and fixed-time artificial insemination of cows and heifers. We offer pre-breeding examinations (pelvic measurement and reproductive tract scoring) for heifers. Our clinic stocks estrus synchronization supplies available for purchase. Our clinic is a distributor for Select Sires, Inc. We can also provide short-term storage of semen in liquid nitrogen tanks.

Embryo Transfer

Dr. Neal Martin provides embryo transfer services including conventional donor collections, embryo freezing, and transfer of fresh or frozen embryos. IVF collections are not available currently; however, the transfer of fresh IVF embryos can be arranged. We will also be offering donor cow housing and management at our new facility.

Cattle Herd Work

We provide routine herd work services for cattle including pregnancy diagnosis, vaccinations, parasite control, and calf processing. Herd work for larger groups of cows and calves can be scheduled for on-farm appointments, and smaller groups can be scheduled at our new haul-in facility.

Herd Health Consultation

We can provide animal health consultations for your livestock. We can tailor specific health protocols and vaccine schedules to meet the needs of your herd. Veterinary Feed Directives (VFDs) are available for clients with a valid Veterinary Client Patient Relationship (VCPR). Basic cattle feed ration balancing is also available.
